I offer safe and judgement-free counselling where I can help you to identify the issues that are affecting you, your relationships or issues that are creating barriers to a fulfilled, more balanced life.
Counselling in a Safe Space
In this safe space you, the client, are free to explore areas of your life that are having a negative effect on you. When you engage in the counselling process you will be open to receive the support to safely explore, identify, understand and change these thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviors that are holding you back.
The personal growth that can then take place through counselling can free you from the limitations of old patterns, and create healthier coping mechanisms to daily stress and enhance communication within your relationships.
Therapeutic Approach
You can benefit from counselling and psychotherapy at any stage in your life. The person-centered approach I take is Carl Rogers Humanistic Theory which I use to work in the areas of Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Sexual Identity and Stress to name but a few.
I am currently undertaking a Masters in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy which means that I am able to incorporate different therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Psychoanalysis and Existentialism along with many others into my work.
I work with you the client to build an approach that is specific your needs and centred around your goals from coming to therapy.
I have many years of experience in working with couples and individuals. I provide face to face counselling in New Ross, Co. Wexford and in Waterford City. However I can also provide counselling via phone and video counselling which can be more flexible to meet the current demands of my clients in this Covid 19 climate. I can take paid electronically which must be made prior to the session.
